Cook / Kitchen Closer (BOH) –
Firkin on the Bay, located in the Humber Bay Shores area, is looking for experienced Line Cooks / Kitchen Closers to join our team.
We’re a high-volume pub with a strong, supportive kitchen team. If you work hard, move fast, and take pride in your station, you’ll fit right in.
What you’ll be doing:
- Preparing and cooking menu items to company standards
- Setting up and maintaining a clean, organized station
- Handling closing duties and ensuring the kitchen is left spotless
- Assisting with prep and supporting the team during service
- Following all food safety and sanitation standards
What we’re looking for:
- Previous line cook experience in a fast-paced kitchen
- Ability to work clean, fast, and stay organized under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent
- Pride in your work and attention to detail
Availability Requirements:
- Must have open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Closing shifts required
Compensation & Perks:
- $18–$20/hour (based on experience)
- Bi-weekly kitchen tip-outs
- Staff meals provided
Important Requirement:
- Applicants must already be legally eligible to work in Ontario (valid work permit or equivalent)(We are not able to sponsor applicants without current work authorization)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
