JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Install cabinets in kitchens, bathrooms, and for other residential and commercial applications
- Install panels, toe kick, crown moulding, light valance, and other releated products
- Install pulls on doors and accessories in cabinets, such as a tip out tray, spice pullout, lazy susan, appliance lifts, and blind corner pullout
- Install countertops, sinks, and faucets
- Load and deliver cabinets, pantries, and accessories to job sites
- Ability to problem solve independently
- Operate carts, dollies and hand trucks to move products
- Responsible operation and care of company vehicles and equipment
- Perform service calls
- Complete jobs in a timely manner and meet deadlines
- Build custom cabinets according to specifications, when schedule allows
- Safe operation of power tools and woodworking machinery
- Janitorial responsibilities to maintain a tidy work site and warehouse
- Other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- 3 years of proven experience as a cabinet installer is required
- 5 years of carpentry experience is preferred
- Leadership experience is required
- Lifting or moving up to 50 pounds is required
- Stand/walk and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Attention to detail in all areas of work
- Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, as well as other written instructions and design specifications
- Strong mathematical knowledge and ability to read/take accurate measurements
- Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
- Must be punctual, reliable, and eager to learn
- Good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills
- Valid Ontario class ‘G’ driver’s licence (A clean driver's abstract will be required)
Wage is commensurate with experience and proven ability.
