We’re looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join our growing Commercial Lines team!
We deliver legendary service to our broker partners by offering the right products, at the right price, with the ultimate goal of helping our customers protect their business interests. As an Underwriting Assistant in the Commercial Lines department, you will be working towards this purpose by supporting the Underwriters with data processing and broker relationships.
Here are a few ways you'll make a difference:
Process new business, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations
Responsible for data integrity of policies and assists Underwriters with data quality
Answer broker inquiries and requests regarding changes to a policy through written and verbal correspondence
Various administrative tasks in supporting the Underwriters
Identifies and assigns incoming inquiries to appropriate individuals
Create and maintain records to ensure that team performance metrics can be easily tracked
This includes tracking of new business, policy renewal and endorsements
Actively identify opportunities or initiatives to improve internal business and processes, systems and service delivery to ensure optimal and value-added service to customers.
Other clerical work as assigned
One (1) year work experience in insurance and college degree preferred, or equivalent combination of work experience and education
Strong computer and data entry skills
Excel is an asset
Highly organized to manage workflow efficiently without continuous supervision
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
