The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Design specialist / Sales Associiate to join our showroom team. In this role, you’ll blend your design sensibility with consultative selling skills to deliver exceptional client experiences. You’ll bring confidence, warmth, and genuine design expertise to every customer interaction, guiding clients through thoughtful purchasing decisions that make their homes more beautiful. The Role — What You’ll Do
- Deliver exceptional, personalized customer experiences that reflect the Castle Mountain Home Furnishings standards
- Guide customers through their purchasing journey by identifying needs and presenting tailored furniture and design solutions
- Prepare and follow up on quotes, converting enquiries into sales with accuracy and urgency
- Answer phone calls and route accordingly
- Complete all sales orders with correct customer details, product information, pricing, and delivery dates
- Maintain immaculate showroom presentation and visual merchandising standards
- Meet and exceed sales performance goals including revenue targets, conversion rates, and client retention metrics
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, trade professionals, and the local design community
- Leverage your design expertise to guide clients through product selection, space planning, and styling
- Support the team in achieving sales targets and maximizing campaign and promotional performance
- Assist with samples, product cards, and showroom materials as required
- Perform proactive and consistent follow-up with clients before and after the sale and at delivery
- Promptly and professionally resolve guest concerns to ensure lasting customer satisfaction
- Perform opening and closing duties and accurately complete all system and operational tasks
About You — What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in retail sales, ideally within furniture, interiors, or design
- A genuine passion for design, with a refined eye for style and detail; interior design experience is a strong asset
- Customer-focused, with the ability to build rapport and guide confident purchasing decisions
- Results-oriented with strong follow-up discipline and a proven ability to convert quotes to sales
- Driven to achieve sales goals with a knowledge and passion for quality home furnishings
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills — both written and verbal
- Works well independently and collaboratively as part of a close-knit showroom team
- Excellent professional appearance and demeanor
- Fast and efficient with data entry.
- Efficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook); design software experience is a plus.
- Strong digital fluency and computers skills required
- Shopify experience or related platform considered a strong asset.
- Flexible and reliable schedule including weekends and holidays as needed to meet business requirements
