Position Overview
The Holiday Inn & Suites Mississauga-Meadowvale is seeking practical, food-service-oriented Morning Breakfast & Food Prep Attendants to join our team. This role combines hands-on kitchen prep, line assembly, and inventory replenishment with front-of-house hospitality.
You will be responsible for preparing hot and cold breakfast items, keeping the buffet line fully stocked during peak rush hours, and maintaining food quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble hot and cold morning food items (light cooking, heating, portioning, and plating).
- Set up, continuously restock, and maintain the breakfast buffet line to keep up with guest volume.
- Monitor food temperatures, freshness, and presentation according to health and safety standards.
- Manage food rotation, prep inventory, and raw ingredient restocking throughout the shift.
- Maintain a clean kitchen work area, operate commercial dishwashers, and perform end-of-shift teardown.
- Greet guests on the floor and clear tables as needed during peak volume.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in food prep, kitchen assembly, fast-casual dining, or cafeteria service preferred.
- Basic knife skills, knowledge of food safety hygiene, and comfort in a kitchen environment.
- Reliable availability for early morning shifts starting as early as 5:30 AM on weekdays or 6:30 AM on weekends/holidays.
- Ability to multi-task efficiently under time constraints during the peak morning breakfast rush.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift inventory up to 30 lbs.
