We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Tandoor Chef to join our growing kitchen team.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook all tandoor items, including naan, garlic naan, butter naan, roti, laccha paratha, and other Indian breads.
- Operate and manage the tandoor oven safely and efficiently.
- Ensure proper dough preparation, portioning, and consistency in texture and quality.
- Assist in preparing and finishing curries and gravies as needed during service.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment, especially during peak hours.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Support the kitchen team to ensure smooth service operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 years experience in an Indian kitchen (required).
- Strong knowledge of traditional Indian breads and tandoor cooking techniques.
- Ability to handle high-volume service with speed and consistency.
- Knowledge of Indian spices and curry preparation is an asset.
- Food Handler Certification (preferred).
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
