This position will be reporting to the Safety and Compliance Manager. This role will be responsible of reviewing driver logs, dash cams and telematics, permit renewal, driver hiring, driver training and onboarding for the different terminals of the company. Monitor the company’s safety rating in the different jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate a fleet of 65 company trucks spread over 12 locations in Canada and the USA
- Review and audit daily all company driver logs to ensure compliance.
- Monitor the Safety Analytics dashboard and create a monthly report.
- Review and audit daily the video intelligence dash cams for harsh events.
- Assist driver in regards of any question on hours of service and logs.
- Manage insurance claims such as reporting to insurance company, gather all required documentation and continue a weekly follow up.
- Assist on recruiting and onboarding, such as driver orientation and review and audit the driver qualification files as well as pre-screening drivers to assess their abilities.
- Conduct required driver training following any violation or safety issue based on the safety analytics telematics.
- Coordinate any DOT or MTO renewals or safety audits
- Monitor regularly FMCSA and any other jurisdiction safety ratings.
- Provide management with regular reports of all safety functions, accident, claims, violations and safety trends.
- Perform driver annual reviews.
- Coordinate yearly insurance renewal.
- Monitor the annual safety inspection for trucks and trailers and update fleet management system and file.
- Manage the installation and removal of the ELD device and ensure they function properly.
- Monitor driver and equipment files and keep all coverage items current
- Other duties and responsibilities as needed.
1-2+ Years in Transportation Safety or related
Knowledge of the FMCSA regulation and Canadian jurisdictions
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft office

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
