Duties
- Proofread and review game manuscripts, narratives, and related content to ensure rules accuracy, grammar, and house style
- Edit and copy edit game descriptions, stats, tables, and lore to enhance clarity and engagement
- Confirm facts, terminology, and game mechanics for accuracy and authenticity
- Organize, format, and manage large volumes of content efficiently
- Maintain high standards by reviewing content for coherence, tone, and readability
- Communicate clearly and often with team members across departments to incorporate feedback and meet project deadlines
Requirements
- Proven experience in copy editing, editing, and proofing within the tabletop gaming industry or a related field
- Strong writing skills with an eye for detail and a passion for role-playing games
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate developers, graphic designers, and project managers
- Passion for accuracy and advocacy for readers and players
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word for editing, styling, and formatting documents
- Knowledge of RPG genre conventions, terminology, and systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards
