As a Traffic Safety Clerk you will report to the Speed Management/Traffic Safety Supervisor, and be responsible for providing a broad range of clerical and administrative services.

Some key responsibilities include:
Manage the flow of incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring document and records are properly entered and recorded
Support and assist with prioritizing, organizing coordinating, tracking and responses for POSSE, PM Notifications, FOIP and other related requests and assignments
Track and monitor unit projects and Council Reports
Proofread reports and publications for accuracy, quality and consistency with department and city standards
Create and maintain files and/or scanning and filing documents in accordance with Corporate/Departmental records management procedures/standards
Research and/or compile Section statistical data and prepare and/or print reports as required
Provide administrative support to the Speed Management Program, Traffic Safety Senior Leadership Team and the Director
Support for committees/meetings including logistics, scheduling, preparing agendas, managing attendance lists, taking minutes and following up on action items
Provide liaison between the units and the Director’s office, to the Branch and Deputy City Managers’ offices
Coordinate office equipment, including inventory, maintenance, troubleshooting, coordination of repairs, supplies and training as required
Support and participate in Traffic Safety and Parks and Roads Services projects and events during business hours
Other related duties as required
Qualifications
:
High School Diploma, including business subjects with an emphasis on general office practices, or completion of an office administration certificate
A minimum of 2 years diversified office experience including data entry, writing and preparing correspondences, taking a preparing meeting minutes, maintaining complex databases and filing systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Focus on excellent customer service
Excellent skills with grammar, punctuation, and spelling, with a high level of accuracy, ensuring documents conform to City of Edmonton formats
Excellent time management
Ability to manage a large volume of work with conflicting demands and timelines
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a focus on balancing competing requirements within the various units and ensuring service is delivered accordingly
Strong knowledge of software and databases including Google Products, Microsoft Office Products, SAP, POSSE, CRM, Centresuite and Peoplesoft
Hire is dependent upon a Police Information Check satisfactory to the City of Edmonton

Hours of Work: 33.75 hours per week

Salary Range: $23.664 - $29.385 (Hourly); $41,691.23 - $51,769.73 (Annually)
