Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Associate Supervisor specializing in Electric Supply to oversee daily warehouse operations, manage team performance, and ensure efficient supply chain processes. This leadership role requires strong organizational skills, technical knowledge of warehouse management systems, and excellent communication abilities. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and French, with a background in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain management, and proficiency in various computer applications including ERP systems. The Warehouse Associate Supervisor will play a key role in process improvement initiatives and maintaining high standards of customer service within a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities related to electric supply distribution, including order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels using warehouse management systems such as SAP, ERP systems, and AS400 to ensure accuracy and availability.
- Lead a team of warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to foster a productive work environment.
- Oversee the use of forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently; ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with purchasing and supply chain teams to optimize stock levels and streamline procurement processes.
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall workflow.
- Maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis skills for reporting purposes.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies across all warehouse activities.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to coordinate shipments and resolve issues promptly.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing workflow data and recommending strategic adjustments.
Requirements
- Proven supervisory experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, preferably within electrical or industrial supplies.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff toward operational excellence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SAP, ERP systems such as AS400, and Warehouse Management Systems.
- Bilingual fluency in English and French is highly desirable; excellent communication skills are essential.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes including order picking, inventory management, purchasing, packaging, and e-commerce logistics.
- Experience operating forklifts and other heavy lifting equipment; certification preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies like continuous improvement practices is advantageous.
- Ability to analyze data for process optimization using analysis skills; familiarity with computer science concepts is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills with the capacity to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of 3PL logistics operations is beneficial; experience supervising warehouse distribution is preferred.
