Casual One on One Community Support Worker - 24 HOUR SHIFTS

Job Summary
In this role, you will organize and implement social, recreational, educational, and life skills activities tailored to the unique needs and interests of the individuals we support. Activities take place both within the individual’s residence and out in the community.
What You Will Do (General Expectations)
- Promote Inclusion: Support community inclusion and plan engaging, adventurous activities.
- Provide Respectful Care: Acknowledge individual rights and show a high degree of tolerance for unique personalities and challenges.
- Stay Adaptable: Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to accommodate day-to-day variations in support needs.
- Use Positive Interventions: Interact effectively using positive behavioural intervention strategies. Follow program approaches consistently and manage aggressive behaviours safely to protect yourself and the individuals supported.
- Maintain Boundaries: Keep appropriate ethical boundaries in all interactions.
Position Details
- Job Type: Casual
- Schedule: 24-hour shifts (9:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.)
- Pay: CA$520.08 per day
Requirements
- Must be 19 years of age or older
- Negative TB test
- Clear Criminal Record Check (Kardel will submit this on your behalf)
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification (Kardel can provide this training if needed)
