We are looking for a QA Manual Analyst - POS to join our team!
Reporting to the Lead of the POS QA department, you will be responsible for test case creation. test case execution, manual testing and bug reporting. You will need to analyse and understand the results, which could be from GUI, SQL queries, XML or API returns, narrow down the scope if an issue is found and provide a report. You may work with the Product and Development teams to design and implement test plans.
About the role:
Perform manual GUI testing on Windows and mobile point of sales software
Perform manual GUI testing on web apps
Perform manual API testing using Postman
Perform SQL queries and data validation
Perform manual testing on EFT pin pads
Design and implement testing plans for new and existing products and features
Create new and maintain existing test cases/cycles environments
Document and track issues found during manual testing
Work closely with the development team to isolate and solve problems
Configure and maintain VMware test environments
Apply QA best practices and actively look for process improvement opportunities
Experience using/testing Point of Sale (POS) software – particularly Maitre’D or Veloce
Experience manual testing:
Windows, web and mobile applications
Web service and API testing using Postman
Knowledge and experience with SQL queries and data validation
Ability to read and understand XML/JSON
Experience and good understating of best practices regarding writing test cases, test plans, and structured test methodology
Experience with SoapUI or Postman API project creation/modification
Proficient with Windows
Experience manual testing EFT solutions
Experience using Jira, TM4J
Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Scripting language experience
Highly motivated self-starter, who works well remotely and under minimal supervision.
Strong desire to learn and understand information technology and methodologies
Ability to anticipate testing needs and blocking points
Ability to promptly communicate blocking issues and testing needs to supervisor
Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming languages
Experience using test automation software
