The Maintenance Associate plays a key role in supporting the maintenance and upkeep of facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. This role works under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and is ideal for someone who is hands-on, reliable, and eager to learn within a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of facility systems including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and general building infrastructure
- Complete basic repairs and maintenance tasks such as replacing filters, fixing minor leaks
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs and scheduled servicing of equipment and facility systems
- Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot minor operational issues
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safe storage of maintenance tools and work areas
- Support equipment setup, teardown, and movement throughout the facility
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and promptly report hazards, damages, or concerns
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and supporting documentation
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Assist with general facility upkeep and repairs as required
- Support cross-functional departments with operational maintenance needs
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment when required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0–2 years of maintenance, construction, industrial, or general labor experience
- Basic knowledge and safe operation of hand and power tools
- Mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn and develop technical skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
- Valid forklift license
- Exposure to HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems (Asset)
- Experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial environments (Asset)
- Reliability and punctuality
- Strong work ethic with a hands-on mindset
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Team-oriented with effective communication skills
- Ability to adapt and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures and industrial environments
