The Opportunity:
Canvas deeply values the role of our Budtenders. They are the face of our retail experience and are experts on our product offerings. Budtender are tasked with managing customer service and satisfaction. This is achieved by offering their knowledge of our products and by guiding our customers through the product selection process.
Part-time positions available, must be able to work weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Reports to the Store Manager or designate
- Greets and engages customers in a friendly matter
- Cultivate long term-customer relationships by providing superior customer service
- Stay up to date on current strains and products on offer
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of cannabis products
- Convey accurate product information to customers
- Cross-sell and introduce new products
- Responsible for processing sales and all types of payments at POS terminal
- Issue receipts, refunds & exchanges (the latter must be manager approved)
- Responsible for balancing assigned cash register at the end of a shift
- Report any cash discrepancies to Store Manager or designate
- Resolve customer complaints through escalation or by providing relevant
information
- Adhere to all loss prevention policies
- Helps maintain the cleanliness of the store by completing all daily opening/closing duties
- Follow guidelines and protocols as required by provincial regulatory bodies
- Recognize signs of impairment and/or abuse and immediately report this information to supervisor
Experience and Background
- Interest in the Cannabis industry
- Successful police background check
- Completed CannSell Certificate
- 19 years of age or older
- Experience in sales an asset
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm
- Team orientation
