Position Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Renovation Carpenter to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a variety of renovation tasks with minimal supervision. You’ll be working closely with our site superintendent and project manager to ensure each project is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Compensation & Conditions
- $35/hr base pay + $2/hr tool allowance
- Full-time, permanent position
- Travel pay applies only outside of the Greater Edmonton area
- Perform all aspects of residential renovation and construction, including demolition, framing, drywall, flooring, cabinetry, and finishing.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Work closely with project managers and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain site organization, cleanliness, and safety standards at all times.
- Handle tools, materials, and equipment with care and ensure they are properly maintained.
- Manage daily tasks efficiently and communicate clearly about site progress or challenges.
- Represent Bright Habitats professionally on-site and with clients.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and project timelines.
Requirements
- 2+ years of residential renovation experience
- Journeyman Carpenter certificate (or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of residential building codes and best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Must have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship
