English-to-French translator responsible for writing, translating, proofreading, updating, and coordinating online product information and social media. Occasional translation of marketing materials and other projects, as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Translate all online product information and web content from English to French
Carry out the research, writing and updating of Air Canada Vacations’ online product information, and ensure accurate representation of the company brand and image
Act as a primary resource for online hotel and tour product information managed internally
Review all hotel and tour product information online to ensure accuracy
Research and adopt SEO best practices and adapt web content to increase optimization
Carry out daily updates of hotel and tour web content, as well as any ad-hoc product-related updates in the CMS
Translate and adapt content for various social media platforms
Assist other translators with the translation of marketing projects and promotional campaigns, as needed
Ensure content is in adherence to Quebec provincial laws and federal requirements.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Undergraduate degree in Translation, with a specialization in English to French
3-5 years of experience in writing/translation combined with solid experience with web content management
Perfectly bilingual in French and English (oral and written)
Strong organization skills, and ability to work within a team
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Efficient and very detail-oriented, showing initiative, flexibility and great precision
Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
Intermediate knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO)
Experience in the travel industry an asset
