As a Casual Dietary Aide, you will be essential in supporting food service operations within our facility. Reporting to the Dietary Manager, your primary responsibilities will include meal preparation, serving, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Qualifications:
- Food service experience necessary.
- Previous employment in a health care/hospitality setting an asset.
- Demonstrated understanding of/empathy for the needs of seniors.
- Familiar with HACCP, WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety, Sanitation Code.
- Willingness and ability to learn.
Job Requirements
- Current certificate in food handling training from a local board of health or an agency of the board of health or has recently successfully completed an equivalent food handler training program
- Police Record Check (as per RHA), including VSC
- TB Testing
Job Description
- Assist Cook with food preparation as required.
- Complete departmental cleaning and ware washing as required.
- Be knowledgeable of and practice residence's fire and safety programs.
- Serve food to residents observing special diet restrictions, resident preferences and outlined departmental procedures.
- Clear tables, load and safely operate dishwasher. Complete manual ware washing as required.
- Perform all other job duties as assigned
- Refer and adhere to all policies and procedures as they are in effect.
Salary: TBD based on experience
