Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving deli products. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers have a positive experience by delivering high-quality food items in a clean and friendly environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, following food safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, ensuring all surfaces and equipment are properly sanitized.
- Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have about the menu.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately, utilizing basic math skills for processing payments.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations in the kitchen and deli area.
- Monitor inventory levels of deli products and assist in restocking as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or kitchen environments is preferred but not required.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
- Basic math skills for accurate cashiering and inventory management.
- Ability to work well as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when needed.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
