Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Microvellum Detailer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the design and detailing of projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications. This position requires proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup and Microvellum and the ability to collaborate effectively with project/production managers and drafting team . Experience with Microvellum software is required. Strong communication and attention to detail skills are also essential for effective coordination across teams.
Duties
- Develop detailed drawings and schematics using CAD software, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Create 2D and 3D models using tools such as Microvellum, AutoCAD, Sketchup.
- Collaborate with drafting team to understand design requirements and translate them into detailed shop drawings and CNC-ready files.
- Review and revise designs based on feedback from clients and team lead.
- Prepare job related documents and material lists.
- Adhere to project timelines and deliverables.
- Conduct quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy before submission.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 1 years of experience in cabinetry, millwork, or related fields, with a strong background in drafting and detailing for custom designs.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microvellum, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and/or similar design software for creating 3D models, generating material lists, and producing CNC-ready files.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, and construction processes.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to work meticulously with high attention to detail and precision.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to foresee and address design or construction challenges.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Education: A degree or certification in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Distinct Design Trim is a finish carpentry company that works mainly with High Rise condos, and custom cabinetry for residential and commercial high-end projects. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to creating unique, innovative designs.
