Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled DZ Dump Truck Driver/Equipment Operator that knows how to operate a manual 18 speed transmission to join our dynamic construction team with 5 years experience. This vital role involves safely operating heavy machinery and dump trucks to support various construction projects, ensuring efficient material transport and some site labor work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent driving skills, and experience with a variety of construction equipment. Duties
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, and debris across construction sites
- Utilize heavy equipment including excavators, skid steers on site for preparation of grading, and material handling.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Work with other workers on site to assist them in projects.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment on-site
- Coordinate with team members to schedule equipment usage efficiently and meet project deadlines
- Drive a 25' trailer behind the DZ truck.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating dump trucks and heavy construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, skid steers.
- Knowledge of a 18 speed transmission.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record and 5 years experience.
- Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
