Retired teachers collecting pensions from the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan (OTP) are not required to pause their pension while employed with TDSO.

We are currently seeking two part-time French teachers or possibly one full-time teacher. Teaching responsibilities will be in Elementary and/or Secondary school. There may be additional subject areas available to increase the teaching role. Teacher should have experience and be comfortable teaching Primary/Junior/Intermediate grades if applying to the Elementary position. If applying to the Secondary position the candidate should have experience and be comfortable teaching Intermediate students (grades 9 and 10).
An Application should outline that the candidate has strong teaching skills in planning, assessment, differentiated instruction and classroom management. Experience teaching in the division for which you are applying is preferable.
We are also looking for supply teachers who can fill in when teachers are absent.

-prepare lesson plans and implement curriculum objectives
-maintain classroom management
-differentiate for learners with various needs
-follow policies as outlined by Torah Day School of Ottawa (TDSO)
-communicate with parents and/or administration regarding student assessment
-follow course outlines (for instruction, assessment, etc.)
-participate in creation of student success plans/personal learning plans
-collaborate with other teachers as needed
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
*Qualified French teachers are preferred, but consideration will be given to those with one or more of the following:
- French teaching experience
- A Bachelor's degree completed in French or with a major in French language
- A bilingual candidate with a bachelor's degree
- Registered and in Good Standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (preferred)*
- Vulnerable Sector Check (within last 12 months) required
