SUMMARY
Reporting into HSE Manager, the HSE Coordinator is responsible for supporting and driving the health and safety needs in particular to this project. This role plays a critical part in works closely with the SPAC/PSPC safety.
PRIMARY SCOPE OF ROLE
Documentation
Ensuring the Daily Hazard Assessment is completed each day
Reviewing and assisting operations with work related permits
Safety document submittals to the SPAC/PSPC
Daily review of all documentation
Preparation of JTA’s for upcoming work
Inspections
Completion of Weekly and Daily Site inspections
Work with operations with supervisor/manager inspections
Ensuring pre-use equipment inspections are completed each day
Monthly environmental inspections
Other site inspection requirements as needed
Reporting
Operational Support
Coaching and mentoring operations regarding hazard mitigation
Work with operations with the Flex Manager Safety App
Work closely with the HSE Manager
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
1-2+ years of experience in the construction industry/relevant education
NCSO and/or CRST qualification or working towards
Strong knowledge of Microsoft
Must be bilingual in English & French
Travel requirements: to and from site with the possibility of some local travel
Class G drivers license required.
WHAT WE OFFER
Expected Base Salary: $72,000 – 77,000 per year. The actual base salary will depend on several factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location and market expectations.
