Project Manager / Lead Carpenter:
About Luxbuilt Legacy Homes
At Luxbuilt Legacy Homes, we aren’t looking for an average Project Manager. We are highly selective about who joins our team because the culture we are building matters just as much as the projects we build.
We specialize in high-quality residential renovations and custom projects, and our approach goes beyond simply getting the job completed. We prioritize leadership, accountability, communication, mindset, health, and continuous improvement, both on and off the job site.
We believe great projects require great leadership. Our Project Managers are expected to take ownership, stay ahead of problems, communicate clearly, and create an organized and professional experience for our clients and trades.
If you simply want to punch a clock and go home, this probably isn't the right fit.
If you are driven, organized, take pride in your work, enjoy leading people, and want to be part of a company with ambitious growth plans, keep reading.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a highly capable, growth-minded Project Manager with a strong construction background who can take ownership of residential renovation projects from pre-construction through final completion.
You need to be comfortable managing people, schedules, budgets, subcontractors, clients, and the inevitable challenges that come with construction.
Most importantly, we want someone who sees a problem and thinks, "How do we solve this?"
Requirements
- Strong residential construction and renovation experience
- Red Seal Carpentry certification is strongly preferred
- Proven leadership and project management abilities
- Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
- Strong understanding of residential construction sequencing
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
- Strong communication skills with clients, trades, suppliers, and team members
- Ability to manage multiple trades and keep projects moving according to schedule
- Reliable work truck and valid driver's licence
- Basic carpentry tools and ability to step onto the tools when required
- Strong commitment to personal growth, leadership, accountability, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle
- Comfortable using construction management software and technology
What You Will Do
As a Luxbuilt Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful day-to-day execution of our projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage residential renovation and construction projects from start to finish

- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and material deliveries
- Communicate regularly with homeowners and provide professional project updates
- Review project scopes, plans, specifications, and selections before construction
- Identify potential problems before they impact the schedule or budget
- Track project progress, labour, materials, change orders, and outstanding decisions
- Maintain organized and professional job sites
- Conduct quality-control inspections throughout construction
- Ensure trades understand their scope and complete work to Luxbuilt standards
- Maintain strong safety standards on every project
- Manage deficiencies and ensure projects are properly completed before turnover
- Work closely with ownership and administration to keep project information accurate and current
- Protect project timelines, budgets, quality, and profitability
- Perform or oversee carpentry work when required to keep projects moving
- Take ownership of the project rather than waiting to be told what needs to happen next
The Person We Want
Technical construction knowledge is important, but leadership and ownership are equally important to us.
The right person:
- Takes responsibility instead of making excuses
- Communicates problems early
- Treats clients and trades professionally
- Thinks several steps ahead
- Keeps a clean and organized site
- Holds themselves and others to high standards
- Understands that project profitability matters
- Can make decisions under pressure
