Rip Rap Plumbing is ideally seeking a Journeyperson Service Plumber, but welcome applications from experienced apprentices to join our growing team. This position focuses on residential service work, including troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, and installations.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential plumbing systems
- Complete service calls efficiently and professionally
- Perform small installations, upgrades, and maintenance work
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures and systems
- Install sinks, tubs, toilets, and water piping systems
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, and assemble pipes using hand and power tools
- Test plumbing systems for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
- Inspect systems, identify issues, and recommend effective solutions
- Ensure all work complies with current plumbing codes and safety standards
- Collaborate with other mechanical trades as required
- Maintain accurate job documentation and time records
- Represent Rip Rap Plumbing professionally on all job sites
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Plumber Certificate and/or Interprovincial Red Seal
- CSTS (Construction Safety Training System) certification
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Valid basic first aid certificate
- Clean criminal record (required for site access and customer trust)
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of current plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices
- Experience with plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends when required
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, standing, and kneeling
Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour
