About the Role
We are a fast-growing short-term rental management company overseeing a large portfolio of properties across Toronto and the U.S. We are looking for an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee and support daily cleaning operations across our properties.
You will oversee the cleaning team, ensure our quality standards are consistently met, and step in to assist with cleaning when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Quality Leadership
- Hire, train, and coach cleaners on cleaning procedures, quality standards, and company expectations.
- Provide daily support and guidance to cleaners to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Inspect completed work and monitor cleaner performance.
- Ensure all properties are properly cleaned, organized, and guest-ready before check-in.
- Provide feedback and address cleaning issues or performance concerns as needed.
- Manage inventory, including linens, towels, and cleaning supplies.
- Coordinate with the maintenance and operations teams to resolve property-related issues.
- Review employee hours before payroll approval.
- Ensure cleaning checklists, schedules, and company procedures are consistently followed.
- Facilitate weekend and holiday coverage as needed to ensure cleaning operations run smoothly.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on cleaning experience in short-term rentals, hotels, residential properties, or a similar environment.
- Previous experience training, supervising, or leading a team of cleaners.
- Strong attention to detail and high standards for cleanliness and quality.
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable.
- Comfortable giving feedback and correcting mistakes professionally.
- Calm, organized, and solutions-focused under pressure.
- Physically able to perform cleaning duties.
- Comfortable using checklists, schedules, mobile apps, and other digital tools.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively supervise a team of cleaners.
