Job Description:
CAMH Education is currently seeking a full-time, permanent CH&E Coordinator (Evaluation Specialist) under the guidance of the Manager, Education Evaluation & Quality Improvement.. The Evaluation Specialist will report to the Manager and will work independently and with a small team to lead and conduct different types of evaluations (needs assessment, process and outcome) for internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will also work collaboratively to provide coordination and assist in the development and implementation of multiple education evaluation projects, including Customer Service and De-escalation Trainings (CSDT) and related grants. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in program evaluation within the health sciences. Experience in an Education context would be an asset. The candidate will liaise with internal CAMH departments as well as other organizations and institutions. The candidate will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and can work independently as well as with a diverse team (internal and external to CAMH). The Evaluation Specialist will play a key role in the implementation and evaluation of various Education initiatives and projects.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Conducting and implementing evaluation and quality improvement projects for Education and training including development of logic models, evaluation frameworks/plans and evaluation & data visualization tools
Monitoring day-to-day aspects of evaluation and quality improvement projects
Contribute in the development of RFPs, grants, and new project proposals to internal and external parties
Engaging with stakeholders and ensuring their buy-in and the integrity of evaluation and service data
Producing various reports, papers, and presentations (e.g., writing, fact checking, editing)
Preparing evaluation materials (e.g., questionnaires, consent forms, letters, and other evaluation administrative activities as required) for internal initiatives and external revenue generating projects
Coordinating data collection, including coding and cleaning
Conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis and reporting for various evaluation projects
Reviewing/conducting literature review on a regular basis
Providing support to programs related to evaluation and quality improvement projects
Participating in special projects and committees as assigned by Manager or Director
Coordinate and provide support to Manager in cultivating and sustaining an internal community of practice for Education Evaluation
Developing presentation slide decks or reports for the purposes of communicating and disseminating evaluation findings
Presenting in collaboration with Manager (or at times independently as required) evaluation findings to stakeholders internal and external to the organization
Working with key stakeholders in all aspects of evaluation (e.g., clients, families, students, staff, managers, directors)
Other evaluation duties as assigned by the Manager

This position is primarily located at 33 Russell Street site, with a plan to gradually transition to 1001 Queen St. site in 2020. Occasional travel in the interim to 1001 Queen St. site may be required for project work and meetings.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a Masters degree in a relevant field with three years of evaluation experience in the field of mental health or health services. Familiarity with Canadian Evaluation Society (or similar) evaluation competencies and developing qualitative and quantitative evaluation tools is required. Experience developing, managing and integrating databases and conducting evaluations at a program level is essential. Familiarity with mental health and addiction services research or evaluation is required, as is experience working with Implementation Science frameworks or Quality Improvement models. The successful candidate will have demonstrated project coordination and program evaluation experience and the ability to ensure all deadlines are met. Experience with data collection techniques and management of large amounts of information – both qualitative and quantitative is required. Full fluency with at least one statistical package from among SPSS, SAS or STATA is also required and experience with qualitative software (e.g., NVIVO). The successful candidate will possess strong PC software skills including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel), Internet Search engines, and the ability to learn new programs quickly. Strong interpersonal, communication (oral/written), creative problem-solving abilities and organizational skills are required. Candidates will possess the ability for self-directed learning/working, as well as collaboration and teamwork and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Candidates also require the ability to work effectively in a wide-range of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds and positions, including leadership. Bilingualism (French/English) and experience working with diverse populations would be an asset.

Salary Range: $31.88 - $43.01
