Job Summary
Bluestone Research 2004 Ltd. is currently seeking Technical Writers and qualified Project Archaeologists holding a valid Ontario Archaeological Professional or Research License. In this role, you will oversee and actively participate in archaeological field programs across Southern Ontario, providing direction to field crews, managing excavation and survey work, meeting all regulatory obligations, and producing thorough reports in line with Ministry standards.
Duties
- Overseeing and participating in Stage 2 pedestrian and test pit surveys, with a focus on artifact recovery and precise data documentation
- Directing Stage 3–4 fieldwork at Indigenous and/or Historical archaeological sites
- Keeping field team operations running efficiently and effectively
- Adhering to and enforcing health, safety, and regulatory requirements throughout all project phases
- Overseeing artifact collections, ensuring meticulous record-keeping and timely submission
- Serving as a professional ambassador for Bluestone when communicating with clients, landowners, and other interested parties
- Travelling to locations across Ontario as required (accommodation, transportation, and per diems provided as necessary
