Wave Engineering is seeking a dynamic Mechanical Engineer to elevate their career with us. Based in Calgary or Grande Prairie, Alberta, this role offers a unique chance to make a significant impact in the oil and gas sector while growing with our forward-thinking team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assume a lead designer role on projects.
· Lead/support team development to meet project objectives.
· Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technologists.
· Enhance company standards and support both brownfield and greenfield projects.
· Develop and manage engineering reports, studies, design calculations, DBMs, PFDs, P&IDs, GAs, equipment specifications/data sheets to meet project requirements.
· Size, evaluate, and select equipment, materials, and process systems.
· Conduct site visits and participate in client meetings.
Skills / Qualifications:
· Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
· 4-10 years of relevant design experience, preferably in oil and gas.
· Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with APEGA.
· Knowledge of Canadian codes and industry regulations.
· Experience on brown field projects is an asset.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team atmosphere.
· Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
· Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
· Live in or willingness to relocate to Calgary or Grande Prairie.
