Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and responsible Class 1 Driver to pull Super B bulk trailers mainly in MB and SK with occasional trips further distance. The truck is a Freightliner Cascadia automatic, pulling well maintained Lode King Super B hoppers. Wage is dependent on experience and the wages set on the ad are an estimation only. Must be okay operating a loaded set of Super B trailers on soft gravel roads/yards and also in winter.
Will train for the right individual.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Super B tractor-trailers for freight transportation across designated routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight in bulk Super B trailers.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle logs in accordance with company policies.
- Perform basic repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operability.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with dispatchers, customers regarding delivery schedules or issues.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, or freight transportation.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely (certification preferred).
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and heavy equipment use.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy loads when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills and reliability in adhering to schedules.
- Prior experience with freight handling and logistics is desirable.
Pay: $3,000.00-$5,000.00 per month
