Job Overview
We are seeking a Part-Time Kitchen Staff member to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food service and eager to contribute to a dynamic restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Cook and prepare menu items according to recipes and plating standards
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining food quality and timing
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, and portioning
- Work efficiently during busy service periods
- Follow health, sanitation, and food safety regulations at all times
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized
- Monitor inventory levels and notify shortages to kitchen management
- Support team members and perform other kitchen duties as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience in cooking, food preparation, or Asian restaurant settings is preferred
- Experience using a Chinese wok and deep fryers is an asset
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Understanding of kitchen workflow and fast-paced service environments
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliable attendance
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Comfortable working in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment
Schedule
- Part-time position
- 3 days per week
Pay: From $18.25 per hour
