Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role is vital in delivering a memorable dining experience through efficient service, effective communication, and a strong understanding of food and beverage operations.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in accordance with sanitation standards
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Provide guest services that exceed expectations, addressing any special requests or concerns
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Experience in food service or the food industry, including serving, food safety, and sanitation practices
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and restaurant operations is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Experience with upselling techniques to promote menu items and enhance guest experience
- Kitchen experience or previous restaurant experience is advantageous but not required
