Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our busy restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, supporting food preparation, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food service, attentive to cleanliness, and eager to contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment efficiently and promptly
- Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling tasks as directed by kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, counters, and storage spaces
- Support food safety protocols by following proper hygiene standards and handling procedures
- Help with food prep tasks such as ingredient setup and portioning when needed
- Ensure all dishware and kitchen tools are ready for use during service hours
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with cooking, meal preparation, or food handling is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards within the food industry is beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role
Pay: From $17.80 per hour
