Responsibilities:
Maintain a Safe Environment: Monitor and enforce security protocols to create a safe environment for patrons and staff. This includes preventing and responding to incidents such as fights, disturbances, theft, and other forms of misconduct.
Crowd Control: Effectively manage crowds and maintain order during busy periods, ensuring that guests are comfortable and able to enjoy their experience without disruption.
ID Verification: Verify the age and identification of patrons to ensure compliance with legal drinking age requirements and prevent underage drinking.
Surveillance: Conduct regular surveillance of the premises using security cameras and perform regular walk-throughs to detect and deter any suspicious activity
Conflict Resolution: Act as a mediator in conflicts or disagreements between guests, using effective communication and de-escalation techniques to resolve issues peacefully.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, including medical incidents, accidents, or any other unforeseen circumstances. Provide first aid or call for medical assistance as necessary.
Compliance and Regulations: Stay up-to-date with local laws, regulations, and licensing requirements related to the operation of a bar. Ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
Collaborate with Management and Staff: Maintain open lines of communication with bar management and staff to address security concerns, share information, and implement strategies to improve overall safety.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience in a security-related role, preferably in a bar or similar establishment, is highly desirable.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Fitness: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, as well as the physical stamina to handle physically demanding situations.
Conflict Resolution Skills: Demonstrated ability to handle conflicts and difficult situations calmly and professionally.
Attention to Detail: Keen observation skills and attention to detail to identify potential security threats or violations.
Licensing and Training: Possession of relevant security certifications, first aid training, and knowledge of local liquor laws and regulations is a plus.
Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times while representing the establishment.
Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the bar's operating schedule.
