Why this role is important?
Reporting to the Store Development Coordinator, the Crew Merchandiser is responsible for merchandising all Store Concept projects as per final merchandising layout to current planograms and merchandising standards.
Merchandise sections as per final merchandising layout to current planograms and merchandising standards and as directed by the Project Leader (where applicable), and the Store Development Coordinator.
Provide superior customer service and staff satisfaction throughout construction; ensure customers' ability to shop throughout the store with minimal disruption.
Ensure that the planograms and shelving heights are up to date and implemented in each store project.
In renovations and expansions, relocate and remove merchandise from sections in a logical, orderly fashion into portable dexion units where necessary.
Label sections with POS labels as per current merchandising standards
Identify and remove any outdated or damaged merchandise to the Store Development Coordinator.
Receive, log and verify merchandise where necessary as determined by the Store Development Coordinator
Build seasonal and end displays as determined by the Store Development Coordinator.
In relocations, transfer stock from the old location to the new location in a secure fashion, following labeling, recording, and loss prevention systems and procedures.
Inform Store Development Coordinator of sickness or personal leave, with updates of availability for work
Dependent on region, overnight travel could be up to 30%.
Projects are located throughout each region, and occasionally out of province - you will be compensated for travel costs.
Skills, Experience & Education
Valid Driver's License
Must be willing to travel
Must have a reliable car for this position
Must be willing to travel up to 30%
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Customer Service Oriented
Must be a team player. Peers may often be the acting Project Leader, so the team environment is crucial.
Well organized with the ability to work with minimal supervision
Willing and able to learn SDM Systems and Procedures
Works well under pressure - ability to meet deadlines in a detail driven environment
Retail experience is beneficial.
