Reporting to the VP, Development, the Director of Marketing leads a team of marketing professionals and oversees the strategy, execution, and alignment of Jack.org’s marketing campaigns to support the organization’s program and fundraising goals. This role requires a leader with strong digital marketing expertise, making data-driven decisions informed by analytics, KPIs, and thorough evaluation. The Director manages vendors effectively in marketing, media buying, and search engine marketing, ensuring a cohesive approach to vendor outputs, efficient budget management, and maximized resource effectiveness.
This role is pivotal in amplifying our mission and driving impactful awareness campaigns that resonate with our stakeholders. You will leverage your expertise to elevate our brand identity, enhance engagement, and drive support for our programs, ensuring that we can achieve our goal of making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Digital Marketing Strategy and Implementation (40%)
- Create and execute innovative digital marketing strategies to promote Jack.org programs, fundraising, and brand development related to youth mental health.
- Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Development to support the digital acquisition of new donors.
- Provide digital leadership for the online supporter experience and develop supporter journeys that deepen loyalty.
- Contribute to building strong digital marketing skills across all teams.
- Optimize the Jack.org website to increase trust and youth and donor engagement.
Brand Strategy and Alignment (30%)
- Lead the development and drive implementation of Jack.org’s rebranding and marketing strategy.
- Elevate our brand presence in the community, establishing Jack.org as a trusted leader in youth mental health.
- Build a three-year brand roll-out strategy to improve Jack.org’s visibility and positioning in the youth mental health sector.
- Ensure consistent integration of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles into brand roll-out initiatives, creative, and campaigns.
People Management (20%)
- Manage a team of marketing and digital professionals through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Enable regular team meetings and collaboration across the Marketing and Communications team as well as the organization.
- Conduct individual and departmental goal setting, planning, and performance reviews.
- Ensure alignment with the mission and values in all people-related activities.
Department and Vendor Management (10%)
- Lead the development of an annual operating plan and budget for marketing.
- Build effective relationships with external brand and marketing partners.
- Lead an annual market research plan to drive brand positioning and market understanding.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to maintain innovation in our marketing strategies.
Desired Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in implementing brand campaigns for fundraising and program results, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Strong digital marketing skills, including experience with SEO/SEM, paid digital advertising, and website management.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing successful marketing campaigns.
- Strong project management, analytics, and performance measurement skills.
- Experience in supporting diverse fundraising streams and understanding youth mental health issues.
