Job Summary
Ramona's Cafe is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to manage daily inventory operations and ensure all café products, ingredients, beverages, and supplies are accurately tracked and readily available. This role is responsible for receiving deliveries, maintaining inventory records, organizing storage areas, monitoring stock levels, and supporting efficient day-to-day café operations.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and capable of maintaining inventory accuracy while working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily inventory levels of coffee beans, food products, beverages, packaging materials, and café supplies.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update inventory management systems.
- Organize storage areas and rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
- Conduct routine inventory counts and reconcile stock discrepancies.
- Report low inventory levels and assist with purchase order preparation.
- Monitor product expiration dates and help reduce inventory waste.
- Coordinate with suppliers, kitchen staff, and management regarding inventory needs.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage areas.
- Perform additional inventory and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, retail, café, or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience with inventory management software is an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
