Sun Parlour Grower Supply Ltd, an expanding greenhouse supply company located in Leamington Ontario is looking for a motivated and energetic individual to join our leadership team in the role of Purchasing Manager.
The candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years working in a Purchasing role or in greenhouse technical sales environment with a broad understanding of greenhouse products and services . Only candidates with experience in this sector and knowledge and understanding of the products used in greenhouse operations will be considered.
Job roles to include
* Lead purchasing functions in co-ordination with Sales, Warehouse and Finance team
* working and regularly meet with suppliers to build strong relationships
* training and implementing best purchasing practices across the organization
* work with our customer service team to source products provide recommendations
* Price negotiation and contract design with supplier base
* Planning and forecasting item needs to optimize warehouse availability and maximize
inventory turns
* Assist with customs and duties as needed with warehouse manager
* Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
* Sourcing New Products and Suppliers
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 43.0 per week
