Our Mississauga Office is hiring a HVAC/R Journeyperson to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of HVAC service experience.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems in accordance with industry standards and safety protocols
- Perform routine maintenance on heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system conditions
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices during all work activities
- Available for on call/standby
Qualifications
- 313A with UA Local 787
- Minimum (5) years service experience
- Gas Fitter 1
- Valid G Class driver's license
- Ontario Certificate of Qualification
- WHIMIS, Working at Heights
- Technical certifications and appropriate licenses to work with refrigerants, natural gas and electrical
- Proven experience as an HVAC/R technician with a solid understanding of HVAC systems and refrigeration technology
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently
- Ability to perform maintenance tasks that require physical dexterity including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in confined or elevated spaces
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while adhering to safety standards
Wages, Benefits and Pension - Per UA Local 787 Collective Agreement.
