Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be proficient in using both hand and power tools. This role involves working on a variety of construction projects, including residential and commercial buildings, where attention to detail and craftsmanship are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Install baseboards, shoe-molds, kitchens, hollow-core doors
- Utilize hand tools such as saws, hammers, and chisels effectively.
- Operate power tools safely to cut, shape, and assemble materials.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints or schematics to determine project specifications.
- Assemble cabinets and other furniture pieces according to design plans.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
Skills
- Strong tape measuring knowledge
- Strong knowledge of drywall installation processes.
- Familiarity with masonry work including brick and stone applications.
- Competence in using various hand tools effectively.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently.
- Capability for heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as needed on job sites.
- Skill in assembling furniture and cabinetry with precision.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately for project execution.
