Job Summary
Wheelchair Accessible Transit is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven General Recruiter to support our growing team in a fast-paced, high-volume recruitment environment. This role plays a critical part in attracting, sourcing, and hiring top talent across multiple departments, with a strong focus on recruiting for wheelchair accessible transit services, including school bus and accessible vehicle drivers.
The successful candidate will partner closely with the Regional Manager and hiring teams to understand staffing needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and ensure a seamless hiring process from sourcing through onboarding. This position requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as proficiency with HRIS systems and applicant tracking tools.

Duties
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for a variety of roles, with a primary focus on driver recruitment
- Support employee relations efforts by providing timely updates on recruitment status and candidate feedback

- Ensure compliance with company hiring policies and applicable regulations
- Attend job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach initiatives as required
- Drive continuous, high-volume sourcing through job boards (Indeed), social media, referrals, and community outreach
- Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates for qualifications and cultural fit
- Coordinate interviews and collaborate closely with hiring managers on hiring decisions
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for ongoing recruitment needs
- Create and manage engaging job postings and recruitment campaigns
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system
Requirements
- 2+ years of recruitment experience in a fast-paced or high-volume environment
- Experience recruiting school bus drivers, transit drivers, or similar roles is a strong asset
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Strong sourcing, interviewing, and candidate management skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
- Familiarity with HR tools such as ATS platforms (e.g., Indeed), HRIS systems (e.g., ADP), and employee management software (e.g., PeopleSoft)

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
