Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Journeyman/woman to join our construction team. This role involves the installation of sheet metal systems across various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and proficiency with hand tools . As a key member of our team, you will contribute to high quality workmanship in commercial and residential settings, ensuring safety and precision in every task.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings to determine project requirements
- Install all metal roofing components including all flashings, cladding, cap flashing, downpipes, etc.
- Utilize hand tools such as snips, drills, and measuring devices to cut, shape, and assemble materials
- Perform caulking and sealing to ensure airtight and weatherproof installations
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment at all times
- Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects
Experience
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Journeyman/woman or similar role within the construction industry
- Must have knowledge in installing cap flashing, cladding and other components of a metal roofing system
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools specific to sheet metal work
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse project environments
- Ability to problem solve and critically think
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
