WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Titan Law Corporation is seeking to hire a legal administrative assistant who can perform various tasks in support of the lawyers and staff in the firm. The legal administrative assistant will be versatile, diligent with a proven ability to work well under pressure and adhere to deadlines. Strong organizational and communication skills are required. Moreover, the legal administrative assistant will assist in corresponding with clients and various government departments, obtaining clients’ supporting documentation, vetting potential clients and directing the same to the appropriate lawyer based upon legal area and case type.
Job Duties
- Communicate with clients and potential clients;
- Directing potential clients by identifying potential legal services and directing such clients to the appropriate lawyer based upon case type;
- Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings for lawyer, directors and clients;
- Prepare correspondence and legal documentation;
- Reviewing and proofreading documentation and correspondence;
- Follow up with clients to request necessary information and documentation;
- Responding to emails and other digital messages on platforms used by the firm;
- Entering file information into legal case management software;
- Ensuring execution of proper law firm procedure;
- Generating invoices and providing the same to clients;
- Assisting and directing firm staff with administrative tasks;
- Liaising and working between various departments; and
- Training and supervising new staff in office procedures and software as necessary.
Skills Requirements
· Completion of post-secondary education;
· At least one year of administrative assisting role experience;
· Working knowledge of legal system in Ontario and Canada in immigration law;
· Ability to communicate effectively with clients;
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
· Handle delicate or difficult situations with tact and diplomacy;
· Strong computer literacy and experience required;
· Ability to work collaboratively; and
· Experience with legal and administrative software (Clio).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
