Payrate: $24.00
Overtime Method: Averaging agreement over 88 hours

Job Overview:
Toronto Eaton Centre is one of Canada’s premier retail destinations, located in the heart of downtown Toronto. With high daily foot traffic, a wide range of retailers, and constant activity, the site operates in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
As a Mall Patrol Guard, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment through active patrols, visibility, and timely response to incidents. This role requires strong observation skills, professionalism, and the ability to interact effectively with the public in a high-traffic setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular interior patrols throughout the mall, including common areas, corridors, entrances, and exits

Maintain a visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity

Monitor shopper and tenant activity, identifying and addressing potential safety or security concerns

Respond to incidents including disturbances, thefts, medical calls, and emergencies

Provide strong customer service by assisting visitors with directions and general inquiries

Enforce mall policies and procedures, including trespass and loitering guidelines

Work closely with dispatch, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate response efforts

Complete detailed incident reports and daily logs accurately and in a timely manner

Assist with crowd management during peak hours, sales events, and special events

Support emergency procedures including evacuations and coordination with emergency services
Prerequisites:

Ability to obtain a Security License in the province of Ontario

Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
-
Previous experience in retail, mall, or high-volume security environment is an asset

Strong observation and situational awareness skills

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations

Strong report writing and documentation skills

Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
