Position Summary
The Maintenance Lead (Millwright) is a hands-on leadership position responsible for maintaining the reliability and performance of MobilGrain's grain handling facilities across Saskatchewan.
Working throughout a network of nine facilities, the successful candidate will oversee preventative maintenance activities, diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic equipment, coordinate maintenance projects, manage a small parts inventory, and provide day-to-day leadership to a maintenance helper while remaining actively involved in maintenance and repair work.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform preventative and planned maintenance on grain handling equipment.
· Inspect, maintain, and repair conveyors, gearboxes, drive systems, grain bins, spouts, and bucket elevators.
· Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems.
· Complete pump wiring and basic electrical troubleshooting.
· Perform general fabrication and non-structural welding.
· Coordinate maintenance shutdowns and equipment repairs.
· Travel between MobilGrain's nine grain handling facilities.
· Transport tools and equipment required for each job using a company-provided truck.
· Maintain a small parts inventory.
· Provide day-to-day direction and support to a maintenance helper.
· Promote and maintain safe work practices, including working at heights using approved fall protection.
Qualifications & Experience
· Journeyperson Millwright or Registered Millwright Apprentice preferred.
· Industrial maintenance experience in grain handling, agriculture, forestry, rail, manufacturing, or similar industrial environments.
· Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
· Experience maintaining conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and related industrial equipment.
· Hydraulic diagnosis and repair experience.
· Electrical troubleshooting experience.
· Welding and fabrication experience.
· Crane rigging experience considered an asset.
· Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently.
· Experience leading or mentoring others considered an asset.
· Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
· Commitment to workplace safety.
Work Schedule
· Full-time, permanent position based in Delisle, Saskatchewan.
· Regular travel throughout Saskatchewan to support MobilGrain's nine grain handling facilities.
· Company-provided truck supplied for travel between work sites.
· Overtime available based on operational requirements.
· Weekend work and emergency callouts as required.
