Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient FOH/Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, prepare high-quality beverages, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about the food industry and dedicated to creating a positive experience for every customer. Prior barista experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. The position involves working in a fast-paced setting, utilizing POS systems, and ensuring food safety standards are met at all times. The role also involves potential cross-training for till and break-fill positions at both Molly's Reach and our location at the Langdale ferry terminal. Tips paid out equally amongst every position daily with cash.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and alcoholic beverages according to company standards
- Operate POS systems for accurate cash handling and transactions
- Take customer orders efficiently while providing excellent customer service
- Handle cash, process payments, and give correct change accurately
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations during shifts
- Completing opening and closing procedures
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
Skills
- Previous Barista experience or background in food service preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
