First Level Service Technician (FT) x 1
Job Description
Members of the technology service department will have the opportunity to perform various technology service in the office, onsite, and travel throughout the Yukon and Northern BC. Service technicians will work in the service office and onsite to perform technology services for consumers, businesses, government, and non-profit organizations.
Availability Requirements
Monday to Friday in 8-hour shifts between the time of 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM
Some weekend availability required for remote and offsite projects
Some overnight travel required
Job Responsibilities
Creating, updating, and closing service tickets
Providing remote technology support via telephone and/or web chat.
Completing various hardware and software repairs/assembly on mobile, computers, laptops, servers, and other electronic items.
Travelling to various locations to complete deployments, installations, swaps, and other required services.
Ability to effectively guide and train users in the use of technology hardware and software.
Completing vendor/brand training as per training calendar and schedule.
Job Requirements
A+ certification and/or relevant experience working in a service and/or support role in the past for mobile, Windows, Mac OS, and server environments for a minimum of a year in a professional capacity.
Candidates that do not hold certifications but possess the required relevant experience will be required to obtain A+ certification within 6 months of employment. The company will cover travel and exam related expenses to obtain accreditation in Vancouver.
Candidates must successfully pass RCMP criminal background review.
Must hold a class 5 Yukon driver's license with no prohibitions and/or outstanding fines.
Must have the ability to lift 50lbs.
Must be eligible for work in Canada at time of application
