Company Overview
Who We Are
XBASE has been keeping Toronto's IT infrastructure from catching fire since 1988. We're not flashy—we're reliable. We work with smart SMBs who actually value having someone pick up the phone when things go sideways. Our whole thing is making technical support feel less like technical support.
The Gig
You'll be our nerve center. Clients call in with problems. Technicians are in the field fixing them. You're the person who makes sure everyone knows what they're doing and when. You'll:
- Coordinate and schedule service requests without losing your mind (spreadsheets, logic, coffee)
- Talk to both panicked clients AND our field team (translation skills are underrated)
- Wrestle with our ticketing system (HALO—it's not as scary as it sounds, we promise)
- Jump in on first-level troubleshooting when needed (you'll learn fast)
- Keep meticulous records so nobody has to ask "wait, what happened with that ticket?" ever again
- Actually improve how we work (if you see a better way, we listen)
You're the Right Fit If
- You've done technical support, dispatch, or something similar before (preferred, not required)
- You communicate clearly—both when things are calm and when they're on fire
- You can juggle 10 things at once without dropping the ball
- You don't panic under pressure; you actually get sharper
- You speak fluent English (perfect grammar, basically)
- You're here in person, ready to show up Monday-Friday
- You actually give a damn about getting things right
(HALO experience? Bonus points. Never heard of it? We'll teach you.)
Why You'll Actually Want to Work Here
- Free parking (in Toronto, this is a perk worth actual money)
- We feed you well—free food
- Full health coverage: dental, extended health, disability insurance, life insurance (we've thought this through)
- Company events where people actually show up because they like each other
- Tuition reimbursement if you want to level up
- Employee assistance program (mental health matters)
- Casual dress code (dress like a human, not a robot)
- You'll work with people who've been doing this right for 35+ years
The Real Talk
This isn't a stepping stone job where you're counting down to something else. It's a role where you run operations for a team that actually solves problems. You'll be essential. You'll learn how a real service business works. And you won't spend your day transferring calls between automated menus.
