We are seeking to hire an Assistant Safety Manager to perform a variety of administrative tasks from assisting a Safety Manager to providing training and keeping records. This is a full-time position.
Assistant Safety Manager will be responsible for:
- Maintain the driver data and training
- Assist with driver recruitment and screening applicants through the interview process
- Answer employee inquiries about health and safety policies and procedures
- Coordinate workplace inspections
- Conduct incident and collision investigations and all follow-up relations
- Report to the Safety Manager
- Conduct other office functions and administrative duties related to safety and training

We are looking for:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Proficient English
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of driver training through proven experience in the trucking industry
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, safety management and database software)
- Ability to work in a time-sensitive manner
- Attention to details
- Represent the Safety Department in a professional and friendly manner
- A team player who is also able to work independently with minimum supervision
