Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our Service team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers needing bicycle maintenance and repairs, ensuring a smooth and positive service experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, bicycle technical knowledge, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Prior service advisory or mechanic experience is highly valued, along with a solid understanding of bicycle repair processes.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing rapport and understanding their service concerns
- Listen carefully to customer descriptions of vehicle issues and accurately document service requests
- Communicate effectively with technicians regarding repair needs and estimated timelines
- Provide detailed explanations of recommended services and repairs, upselling additional maintenance when appropriate
- Prepare service orders, including parts and labor estimates, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Follow up with customers during the repair process to provide updates and ensure satisfaction
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized service department environment
- Promote additional services or products that benefit the customer’s riding experience
- Experience
- A minimum of 2 years experience working as a service advisor in a fast-paced bicycle store- Familiar with all types of bikes and proficient parts knowledge
- Diagnosing customers bikes, advising the service required, and creating the required work order
- Bike accessory install, minor adjustments, minor repairs and bike assembly
- Prior retail experience in service advisory is preferred, providing a strong foundation in bicycle technical systems and repair procedures
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Experience in sales, particularly upselling bicycle services or products
- Knowledge of bicycle repair processes and mechanical systems is highly desirable
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is a plus

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
