Job Overview
HelloYugo is a premium moving and white‑glove delivery company based in Toronto. We are now seeking a dedicated and reliable Move Lead & Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading jobs, operating trucks, delivering a high standard on every move and transporting high end goods while providing exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a background in commercial driving, experience in the moving industry, hospitality and the ability to perform heavy lifting. This is a leadership role. You will be responsible for both execution and decision-making on-site. It also requires teamwork and a commitment to ensuring that every client is handled with care during the moving process.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport high end goods to various locations and follow all road instructions.
- Lead a team of movers on residential and high-end moves, as well as white glove deliveries.
- Plan loading strategy and ensure proper weight distribution
- Handle fragile, valuable, and specialty items with care
- Make real-time decisions and solve problems independently
- Assist in safely loading and unloading items from trucks, ensuring proper handling techniques are used.
- Installing and uninstalling complex high end furniture items, art pieces properly and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their moving needs.
- Greet clients with professionalism, listen to their needs and answer questions clearly
- Perform heavy lifting and maneuvering of furniture and other large items as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient moving operations and timely deliveries.
- Keep the van clean, stock supplies, and report any maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in moving, logistics and hospitality operations is preferred.
- Holder of a valid Class G driver licence with at least two years of clean driving record
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 100 pounds) and engage in physical activity throughout the workday.
- Strong experience with furniture assembly and art install
- Fluent in English
- Customer focused, friendly, and calm under pressure
- High attention to detail and pride in your work
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role.
